Inescapable classics reinventing themselves, new eldorados revealed: the best destinations are ready to welcome travelers. With a variety that has something for everyone. A quick tour of the best spots of this year.

Majestic Egypt

While Paris prepares to welcome the treasure of Tutankhamun, why not (re)discover the original country of the Pharaohs? Especially since the latest archeological discoveries—the Luxor Sphinx, the throne of Ramses II—will give all those budding Indiana Jones shivers. Cairo and its 14th century souks are also worth a visit. For diving enthusiasts, Egypt offers remarkable spots like Sharm el-Sheikh. It is there, on the edge of the famous Naama Bay that the  Novotel Sharm El Sheikh awaits you.

Jordan, the Jewel of the Middle East

Given peace in the region, it's a good time to enjoy the Nabatean site of Petra, the crusaders' castles, and emblematic sites from the beginnings of Christianity. Not to mention the majestic landscapes of Wadi Rum or the waters carrying the Dead Sea. All sites are easy to visit from Amman where the hotel has something for all budgets. The Mövenpick Resort Petra offers unforgettable sunsets from rock pink to blazing red.

Enjoy Perth

Still unknown, Perth is a rising destination in Australia with its trendy bars in the suburb of Northbridge, as well as art galleries, theaters and excellent restaurants. If you like contrasts, wilderness is found around Cottesloe Beach, popular with divers, or Rottnest Island where you can cycle and observe the marsupials. The vineyards of Swan Valley and the colonial city of Fremantle are just a "kangaroo" jump away. Try the Tribe Perth, a brand-new hotel concept by Accor whose design sets the tone for the trip.

Bangkok Revisited

The capital of the Kingdom of Thailand will be at your feet if you stay at the Orient Express. This new luxury hotel will open in late 2019 in the largest tower in the country, the King Power Mahanakhon, 314 meters high. Architect Tristan Auer designed the Art Deco interiors and plant motifs of the original cars of the Orient Express. A panoramic platform on the 74th, 75th and 78th floors and a rooftop bar will offer you breathtaking views. A new way of discovering a mega-city that is both modern and proud of its traditions with its palace, its countless temples and markets, some of which float on the Chao Phraya River.
