In early 2019, Thalassa Sea & Spa announced the launch of its new "Active Break" concept: a holistic experience that goes beyond traditional thalassotherapy and marine spa treatments, and a total commitment to well-being based on 6 pillars (Destination, Treatments, Rest, Nutrition, Beauty and Fitness) to suit every mood and desire. The objective? To offer guests the opportunity to take a Break and feel completely Re-energized.
In order to embody this new concept, Thalassa Sea & Spa offers a new visual identity in its communication, and a new signature: my break, my energy.
A major refurbishment
The Thalassa Sea & Spa Le Touquet resort is the 1st property to roll out the new “Active Break” concept, which will then be extended across the entire network over the first four months of 2020.
Le Touquet is a destination where wellbeing has always been a core focus. We want to share Le Touquet’s soothing ethos by offering guests a genuine get-away-from-it-all experience, however long their stay, to help recharge the batteries, restore inner harmony and create lasting memories.
In terms of design, Toma Dryjski from architects DVVD was behind the revival of this flagship destination, drawing inspiration from the paintings of the Russian artist Nicolas de Staël to choose the colors and materials that promote well-being and sensory appeal, while incorporating the hotel's strong local roots.
A multi-faceted location and a true well-being resort
In the heart of this haven of tranquility, our guests can enjoy a totally personalized wellness experience, a simple and healthy dining offer as well as an accommodation offer adapted to their budgets.
Upon arrival, our guests are immersed in a calm and soothing atmosphere thanks to a vast immaculate white hall common to both hotels (Novotel & ibis), opening onto the landscape and the ocean. From the lobby to the library, from its own boutique to its cosy lounge, the establishment is a real living space, all bathed in the light of the open sea that penetrates through the large bay windows.
With 145 rooms, a terrace, a bar and a restaurant, the Novotel invites you to a new sensory experience inspired by nature and light. The new rooms, with a view of the sea, offer the perfect balance between modernity and ever-present nature!
Any other site features? Its 2nd option of accommodation, more economic, with the ibis. Between the sea and the sunlight, on the sandy beach of Le Touquet, it offers 91 rooms in a bright and warm atmosphere.
A commitment to delicious and balanced culinary offer
Bistro-style gastronomy or Surf & Turf bar, there is something to suit every taste! La Maison Mer offers creative bistronomy where fish and fresh produce are in the spotlight. As for the Potj', the restaurant offers a traditional menu full of flavors with dishes from the terroir of Northern France.
Between beauty and wellness
Face aux vagues et aux marées, les espaces de soins et de remise en forme s'étendent sur 2 000 m² surplombant la Facing the waves and tides, the treatments areas extend over 2,000 m² overlooking the beach with its large glazed walkway. Bathed in light and tranquility, guests can enjoy limitless comfort and relaxation!
On the agenda? Relaxation and escape in the 2 seawater massage rooms, the cryotherapy room and the marine experience pool, designed to ensure a smoother guest experience and expand the range of treatments. New and flexible treatment rooms grouped together in the Beauty Studio, individual wellness coaching rooms and a twin treatment room overlooking the sea mean personalized and tailor-made offers are available at the center. As for the thalassotherapy and spa room, it have been refurbished to create a soft and intimate ambiance, that varies from light to dark according to the treatments being provided.
A Beauty counter showcases the entire range of beauty products, in particular Thalassa Sea & Skin: Thalassa Sea & Spa's new marine beauty brand. The boutique includes a wide variety of products, from swimsuits to men’s and women’s fashion, as well as swimming and fashion accessories.
For fitness enthusiasts, they can go to the "Training Studio" to stay in shape, while enjoying the breathtaking view of the English Channel.
