Having won a number of awards before the coronavirus pandemic, Accor, its brands, and global network of hotels have continued to stand out and impress guests and visitors, receiving highly coveted accolades from the likes of Michelin and Forbes, and have continued to rise to the top spots on lists such as Travel + Leisure World's Best Awards and Town & Country's Best New Hotels.

The Group was also recognized within the industry, achieving Fortune Magazine’s #16 Best Big Company to Work For, 4^th Best LGBTQ+ Workplace in Brazil, and one of the Best Workplaces in Latin America according to Great Place to Work. 

In other good news, the ALL – Accor Live Limitless loyalty program has also been highly praised, receiving top marks at this year's Freddie Awards, which showcases the best in travel loyalty programs, as well as seven other major awards. 

On the brand front, Sofitel Legend earned the #14 spot on Travel + Leisure’s Top 25 Hotel Brands in the World and Fairmont Hotels & Resorts was honored as one of the Best Eco Initiatives in Hospitality by Departures Magazine’s The 2020 Legend Awards as well as one of the Most Trusted Brands in Canada according to the Gustavson Brand Index.

In Europe, Raffles Istanbul achieved the #7 spot on the 100 Top Hotels in the World for Travel + Leisure’s World’s Best Awards 2020 and the #1 spot on the Top European City Hotels list. In food and beverage news, SO/Berlin Das Stue achieved one MICHELIN star for Cinco. Sofitel Legend The Grand Amsterdam also achieved a Wine Spectator award for Bridges Restaurant.

Looking toward Asia-Pacific, Raffles Singapore dominated several top lists including Travel + Leisure’s IT LIST, Travel + Leisure’s World Best Awards, and Conde Nast Traveler's Best New Hotels in the World Hot List. Town & Country named Raffles Maldives Meradhoo as one the Best New Hotels in the World. Making its mark in Japan, the Pullman Tokyo Tamachi was named The Best Luxury City Hotel in the Luxury Lifestyle Awards. Sofitel Sydney Darling Harbour’s Champagne Bar was also recognized in the Best Hotel Bars category in Departures Magazine’s The 2020 Legend Awards.

Across Africa and the Middle East, Fairmont Riyadh, Fairmont The Palm, Fairmont Bab Al Bahr, and Fairmont Royal Palm Marrakech all achieved 4-star ratings from Forbes Travel Guide. Raffles Dubai achieved TripAdvisor’s 2020 Travelers' Choice Awards and in doing so was also ranked as one of the world's top 10 hotels. Mövenpick Resort Aswan achieved Booking.com’s Traveller Review Award 2020 and Hotels.com Loved by Guests Award 2020.

In North and Central America, dozens of properties received top marks from Forbes Travel Guide including San Diego’s luxury complex, Fairmont Grand Del Mar, with a 5-star rating for the hotel, Addison Restaurant, and The Spa at Fairmont Grand Del Mar. The recently opened Sofitel Mexico City Reforma joined Travel + Leisure’s IT List 2020, as well as Departures Magazine’s The 2020 Legend Awards list in the categories of Most Stunning Hotel Pools and Best Hotel Bars. Quebec’s Fairmont Le Château Frontenac and Fairmont Tremblant also joined The Legends Awards as Best Hotel Views and Best Ski Hotels & Resorts respectively.

Finally, in South America, Sofitel Legend Santa Clara Cartagena was awarded #5 on the Top 10 City Hotels in Central & South America on Travel + Leisure’s World’s Best Awards 2020 and achieved a Forbes Travel Guide Recommended Rating along with Santa Teresa RJ MGallery, and Sofitel Bogotá Victoria Regia. Spirit Copa Bar at the new Fairmont Rio de Janeiro Copacabana was included on the list of Best International Hotel Bars and Best New International Cocktail Bars.
