Enhancing the Guest Experience: Where Pastry Chefs become Ambassadors

Croissants - one of the most iconic and beloved symbols of French gastronomy - were reimagined across Sofitel hotels worldwide last year, as the brand celebrated its 60th anniversary. With the launch of La Haute Croissanterie, Sofitel invited its Chefs - the “Croissant Couturiers” - around the globe to reinterpret this French breakfast classic with creativity and local flair - and it is now going to be available globally across all hotels. Designed for various touchpoints - such as breakfast service, meetings & events, afternoon tea or retail -, La Haute Croissanterie is developed under the expertise of 7 Regional Ambassador Chefs and Corporate Chef Anne-Cécile Degenne, showcasing the Group’s dedication to offering guests exceptional F&B encounters, fostering meaningful and memorable experiences for all. Ambassador Chefs will collectively train other Chefs in their region to spread their excellence and savoir-faire, fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration that empowers our Talents and each hotel and team to create unique and locally inspired offerings.

These emblematic destinations will introduce their local creations inspired by their “Cultural Link”, to represent Sofitel, defined by its logo made of two intertwining curves as a symbol of the bond that connects cultures around the world. By introducing croissants - a staple of French culture- with creative twists inspired by regional specialties, these offerings celebrate the rich heritage of pure butter croissants alongside unique local tastes.

Driving Business Growth for our Hotels: Unlocking Strategic Opportunities

Initiatives such as Sofitel’s La Haute Croissanterie, are designed not only to elevate the guest experience but are also a unique opportunity to generate additional revenue and value through locally inspired F&B offerings. The ever-growing demand for authentic culinary experiences and destination discovery presents significant business opportunities for hotels to diversify their revenue streams and client base beyond accommodation, including by developing retail sales. This approach enables our hotels to connect with their communities, establishing compelling selling points that attract both residents and travelers and boosting F&B visibility and revenue.
