At Accor, we empower team members to take on leadership roles and advance their careers through our Reveal Talent program. By investing in mentorship and training, we are building a diverse, dynamic workforce prepared to shape the future of hospitality.

A Commitment to Social Mobility

Accor has long been dedicated to serving as a social elevator, creating an environment where its team members can advance their careers regardless of their backgrounds, prior work experience or education.

Reflecting our commitment to fostering social mobility within our hotels, we launched in June 2023 an ambitious career development program, Reveal Talent, to ensure equal opportunities by lessening the emphasis on formal diplomas for leadership roles, empowering our team members to flourish professionally based on their skills and potential. Over the course of six to ten months, team members who show the potential for management-level roles or additional responsibilities embark on a transformative journey. They explore various departments, observe different management styles and engage in training opportunities. This initiative not only enriches the social, ethnic and cultural diversity of our Group, but it also builds a robust Talent pool of future leaders poised to help shape the future of Accor.

The first year of Reveal Talent brought together more than 370 participants, 67% of whom ended their formal education at high school level or below. More than 15% of these participants were promoted. In 2024, we are thrilled to have surpassed our objective of 400 participants by the end of the year, while upcoming recruitments will be completed by the end of the year, for the new cohort that will start the program in January 2025.

Watch Stella’s Inspiring Journey, from Housekeeping Supervisor to Aspiring Manager

Stella Nyarko Owusua, Housekeeping Supervisor at ibis Styles Accra Airport City, grew up in a small village in eastern Ghana. After nearly a decade with Accor and several lateral moves, she joined the 2023 Reveal Talent cohort in its inaugural year.

During the six-month program, she participated in coaching sessions and online training, exploring departments including Front Office, Catering and Maintenance. This experience not only deepened her hospitality expertise but also boosted her confidence and soft skills. Now, Stella aspires to take on greater responsibilities and dreams of becoming a manager, eager to support her team in their own journeys as well.
