Engaging Our Broader Ecosystems

IMPACT THAT REACHES BEYOND OUR WALLS

Protecting destinations. Supporting communities.

Every hotel in our network is embedded in a community and a natural environment, and our presence gives us the opportunity to create genuine, lasting impact. We mobilize the broader ecosystem around us – partners, suppliers, local communities, and destination stakeholders – to turn our shared values into shared action. By supporting our suppliers in their own sustainability transition, acting to protect biodiversity and natural habitats, and engaging with local communities through partnerships and contributing time as volunteers, we create lasting value well beyond our hotel walls. By making our hotels places of shelter in times of need, we create spaces where the most vulnerable are protected.

Raising Standards Across Our Supply Chain

Our suppliers are partners in our sustainability journey. In addition to selecting suppliers who share our values, we actively support them in their own sustainability transition, providing guidance, frameworks, and tools to strengthen their performance and resilience. By supporting a stronger supply chain, we reinforce our ability to deliver responsible hospitality at scale.

Between 2022 and 2025, we supported over 2,000 suppliers in improving their sustainability performance, with average EcoVadis scores improving by 17 points across that period.

How We Raise Standards Across Our Supply Chain

Discover how we integrate sustainability commitments into procurement to raise the bar for suppliers across the value chain.

LEADING IN RESPONSIBLE PROCUREMENT

Through risk-mapping, tailored support, training, and ongoing dialogue with listed suppliers, we help strengthen their sustainability performance across environmental, social, ethical, and responsible procurement practices.

Our responsible procurement policy was recognized at “Leader” level under the ISO 20400 maturity assessment – in 2026 we strengthened our standards to accelerate performance even further.

DECARBONIZING WHAT WE BUY

Around 15% of our carbon footprint comes from what we purchase, making supply chain decarbonization central to our climate targets.

Launched in 2024, "Achieving Net Zero Together" includes over 1,000 suppliers across five continents – 75% of our nominated purchasing volume. We help them measure their footprint, build decarbonization plans, and bring low-carbon products to our hotels.

In 2025, the program won the Leading Climate Action Initiative award at the World Sustainable Travel & Hospitality Awards.

EMBEDDING SUSTAINABILITY INTO SOURCING

Beyond assessing suppliers’ performance, Accor Procurement works with partners to translate sustainability commitments into the products and services offered to hotels.

Sustainability requirements are embedded into specifications and requests for proposals, encouraging suppliers to develop lower-impact solutions while fostering innovation.

This helps ensure that sustainability is fundamental to sourcing decisions and strengthens collaboration to drive positive impact across the supply chain.

Creating Positive Impact in Our Communities

Every property we operate is part of a community. We work to create genuine, lasting value in each of these communities – standing firm against any form of exploitation, building meaningful partnerships with local businesses, mobilizing our teams through volunteering, and acting to ensure that destinations are not just visited, but respected and preserved.

Through collaborations with grassroots community organizations from France to Brazil to Cambodia, we offer shelter and support to vulnerable women and children. We promote access to employment and provide disaster relief through a range of social impact initiatives, including our Heartist® Solidarity Endowment Fund, with over 18,000 people benefiting from our solidarity projects.

In 2025 alone, we supported 11,500 victims of disasters and gender-based violence. Furthermore, our partnership with the World Monuments Fund supports the preservation of cultural heritage, helping to restore and enhance destinations for long-term resilience.

Providing Shelter to Those Who Need It Most

Each pillar of our sustainability strategy includes one initiative that pushes further, leveraging our scale, expertise, and pioneering spirit to lead the industry and inspire change.

We are scaling programs that offer emergency accommodation to people fleeing gender-based violence, making our hotels places of refuge and protection. With 25% of women aged 15 and over worldwide reporting having experienced violence, we have both the infrastructure to respond to this need and heartfelt care as our guiding principle, embodied in our purpose.

As well as immediate safe accommodation for emergency support, we work with specialized NGOs in France, Brazil, Spain and other countries to connect people fleeing gender-based violence with support services, creating a bridge to safety at their most vulnerable moment. We are scaling our commitment with the aim of 1,000 hotels making emergency rooms available across our network by 2030.

Hospitality is, at its core, about care, protection, and shelter. As a hospitality group, we have a clear societal role to play in supporting victims of violence. By opening our doors to women and children at risk, we go beyond our core business, providing safe spaces at the moment they are needed most. Through our brands, we are committed to making a tangible difference and contributing to a more inclusive and supportive society.
