Their commitment to sustainability awareness manifests in several different ways ౼ for starters, the resort uses bilingual tags on native plants, sharing details on species, origins and habitats to foster awareness and deepen guests' connection to local flora. Wildlife signage also reminds guests of the area’s diverse wildlife, encouraging respectful interaction. The resort’s Green Team, dedicated to environmental stewardship, regularly organizes beach clean-ups to help preserve Bali’s natural beauty and promote sustainability among both guests and team members.

Fairmont Mayakoba, Mexico: Sustainability Initiatives, Side-By-Side with Guests and Heartists^®

The Green Key-certified Fairmont Mayakoba in the Riviera Maya is committed to preserving its natural surroundings by fostering sustainability awareness. Heartists^® participate in year-round training on topics including waste management, marine life and climate change, with 21 educational events held in 2023 alone. The hotel also inspires responsible tourism, offering its guests the opportunity to participate in eco-tours, beach clean-ups and visits to Mayan communities. On the resort grounds, thoughtful signage and creative events encourage guests and team members to preserve the local fauna and flora and embrace more sustainable practices.

25hours Hotel Langstrasse and Zurich West, Switzerland: Swapping Room Cleaning with Tree Planting

Each shaped by their unique culture and surroundings, these two Ennismore's 25hours Hotels are both determined to raise environmental awareness among guests. 25hours Hotels Langstrasse and Zurich West embraced the innovative brand-wide initiative in partnership with Aktion Baum. For each day that guests staying multiple nights opt out of daily room cleaning, the hotel plants a tree ౼ averaging 27 trees planted daily by the hotel at Langstrasse and 24 by Zurich West. Launched in 2022, this initiative supports tree-planting efforts across all 25hours locations, with over 68,500 trees planted to date, fostering a greener future one stay at a time.
