We wanted to bring some Pullman brand concepts to this design ౼ playing with contrasts between materials, textures, colors, and also avoiding barriers so we can look at these incredible views of Ibirapuera Park.

A quick spin through the revolving glass doors of the Pullman São Paulo Ibirapuera ushers visitors into a distinctly new atmosphere. Soft tones, an intuitive layout and lush greenery create a calm oasis in the vibrant heart of the Brazilian capital ౼ inviting guests to slow down and unwind.
Architect Rodrigo Marcondes Ferraz, from Sao Paulo based studio FGMF Aquitetos, was tasked with creating a contemporary identity while preserving the building’s original spirit. The result balances transformation and continuity, with a strong sense of authenticity emerging through collaborative efforts ౼ paying homage to São Paulo’s unique urban and cultural fabric.
This project drives the Group's effort to collaborate with architects and design voices to help redesign hospitality ౼ giving way to spaces shaped with intention, rooted in place, and designed to leave a lasting impression.
Throughout the public spaces and guest rooms, Ferraz’s use of organic forms, soft architectural lines, and layered textures offers a subtle nod to Pullman’s signature DNA: contrast.
Every detail was chosen to add warmth and texture. Irregular ceramics contrast with smooth, curved walls ౼ creating a rich tactile interplay and visual continuity. The custom-designed furniture invites connection and shared moments, while allowing each space to shift seamlessly from one moment to the next. This sense of movement is further enriched by the balance of natural and controlled lighting, which subtly evolves the atmosphere throughout the day.
Rather than a standalone feature, sustainability was treated as a guiding principle, woven into Ferraz’s design-led vision and shaping choices at every level. From the use of local, certified suppliers to modernized air and water systems that reduce resource consumption, each element was designed with intention. Intelligent LED lighting and carefully positioned windows maximize natural daylight, while botanical accents ౼ echoing the beauty of the nearby Ibirapuera Park ౼ are supported by specialized lighting to bring greenery indoors.
The result is this strong connection between the inside and outside areas, between the construction, the landscape and the plants.
