A Sofitel Story, Told from the Heart

There’s something timeless about the Sofitel Paris Arc de Triomphe ౼ with its elegant Haussmannian façade, it’s a hotel that embodies Parisian grace. And for Félicité Danis, the hotel’s Deputy General Manager, it was love at first sight. But what drew her most wasn’t only the architecture or the atmosphere. It was the people. “What I truly love about the hotel are the people I work with,” she says. “They are all extremely kind and know their jobs perfectly.” It’s this collective excellence, the quiet professionalism behind the beauty, that motivates her to make the most of her day from the moment she wakes up.

If Félicité’s dedication runs deep, it’s because she’s experienced the same care herself. After six years at Sofitel Sydney Darling Harbour, she made the decision to return home to France ౼ and Accor was there for her every step of the way.

“Accor has always been there for me,” she says, remembering how her leaders and colleagues supported her during the move. “I had the chance to meet so many people along my career path, and they all took the time to share their experiences and tips that really helped me and supported me.”

For Félicité, that sense of shared purpose defines what it means to be a Heartist®: to act with kindness, fairness, and strength.

The transition from Director of Revenue in Sydney to Deputy General Manager in Paris marked one of the most exciting chapters of her career. It was a leap from behind-the-scenes administrative work into the heartbeat of hotel operations. “It’s been thrilling to be pushed out of my comfort zone,” she says.

And that’s the beauty of stepping into something new: once you start, you don’t want to stop. Félicité’s time in Sydney gave her a taste for adventure and creation ౼ she was part of the hotel’s opening team, collaborating across departments to bring the property to life.

That experience sparked a new ambition. “My next dream,” she says, “is to be on the opening team of another hotel, but this time as a General Manager.”
