
Laurent Choain
Global Chief People & Culture Officer
Laurent Choain has over 30 years of international human resources leadership experience and a deep understanding of human capital development and organizational culture.
A graduate of the Sorbonne University and NEOMA Business School in France, Laurent also holds a PhD and a postdoctoral degree in Management Sciences from the University of Paris Panthéon-Assas.
His professional career includes senior HR leadership roles at major international organizations such as Banque Populaire et Caisse d'Epargne (BPCE), Kempinski Hotels & Resorts Group, and Forvis Mazars. He is also recognized for his academic and leadership contributions to universities (notably CIFFOP – a top university training for HR professionals - at Paris Panthéon-Assas) and business schools including ESCP and NEOMA, as well as for his work in developing corporate universities, advancing research initiatives, and representing institutions at an international level.
Laurent actively contributes to the broader management, HR, and cultural community through governance and advisory roles. He has served on the boards of organizations including EFMD (European Foundation for Management Development), Bologna Business School, and was until recently an active board member of the Peter Drucker Society, as well as of several business schools such as ESCP and Ashridge.
Laurent Choain joined Accor in April 2026 as Chief People & Culture Officer and a member of the Group Management Board. He plays a pivotal role in shaping Accor's global talent and leadership agenda, with a focus on evolving the Group's distinctive culture and fostering continuous growth and development opportunities for all Heartists® globally. Laurent also serves on the Premium, Midscale & Economy Executive Committee as Chief People & Culture Officer for this division.
