Reaching the milestone of more than 2,800 eco‑certified hotels — half of our global network — reflects our commitment to putting sustainability principles into practice. Eco‑certification offers a powerful way to validate and showcase our hotels’ environmental and social performance, with independent criteria and third‑party on‑site audits, providing the transparency and accountability guests, corporate clients, and partners expect.
Since 2023, Accor has worked with global leaders Green Key and Green Globe Certification, as well as regional programs such as Ecotourism Australia, China Green Hotel Association and Green Key Global in North America, helping hotels achieve recognition that meets both local realities and global standards.
Certification brings tangible advantages: confidence for guests, eligibility for corporate contracts, and enhanced visibility across key channels. On ALL.com, certified hotels display a badge and, from 2025, guests can filter results by certification.
Behind each certification lies a collective effort — sales teams leveraging it as a differentiator, procurement aligning sourcing with ecolabel requirements, brands making it a core standard, and technical teams ensuring hotels comply from the outset. Discover the range of sustainable solutions available to our owners and hotels here.
Here are some of the inspiring stories from teams around the world who made this milestone possible.
Novotel Itu Golf & Resort became the first resort in Brazil to be awarded the Green Key eco‑certification in April 2025. This recognition is the outcome of years of dedicated work in energy efficiency, water conservation, and eliminating single‑use plastics.
Powered entirely by renewable energy and equipped with over 200 solar panels for water heating, the resort removed more than 215,000 plastic items from operations in 2023. Its commitment also extends to the local community, supporting NGOs that improve housing and promote animal welfare across the Itu region.
Hotel Am Konzerthaus MGallery Collection has been a proud holder of the Green Key eco-certification since 2023, underscoring its unwavering dedication to environmental stewardship. The property has implemented various initiatives, including zero single-use-plastic, food waste management as well as a robust water and energy consumption management strategy.
The hotel operations are fully powered by 100% green electricity, while 70% of the restaurant menu features ingredients sourced from regional producers. Guests are actively invited to participate in the hotel’s sustainability journey through a comprehensive sustainability charter displayed in every room.
ibis & ibis Styles India have reached a major sustainability milestone, with 22 hotels, including ibis Gurgaon Golf Course Road and ibis Kochi City Centre now awarded the Green Key certification.
Each property has adopted measurable actions like waste management and water-saving, supported by active team and guest engagement. Training, clear signage, and in-room materials guide guests to eco-friendly choices, boosting sustainability and memorable experiences.

Across Corporate, MICE, and Leisure segments, certification is becoming a decisive selection criterion. Increasingly, major organizations like Safran and Siemens choose or recommend eco‑certified hotels in their travel programs, often integrating this data into their own sustainability labels.
In the corporate travel sphere, agency‑managed platforms are progressively incorporating certification information into their sustainability tools, guiding hotel selection for tenders and annual procurement exercises. Within the leisure segment, OTAs such as Expedia Group, and B2B marketplace, HBX Group, use filters and badges, while expanded fact sheet sections give certified properties enhanced visibility and influence traveler choices.
Sustainability is no longer optional, it's a decisive sales driver across Corporate, MICE, and Leisure segments. Today, one in three major corporations, demand CSR data to inform supplier decisions; sustainability certifications have become a key differentiator.
