The brand accelerates its development with openings and signings around the world, its arrival in Australia and the introduction of Mövenpick Living in the residential and long-stay segment in Europe.
Since 1940 Mövenpick has been breathing the extra into the ordinary by taking special care over those little everyday things that make all the difference. That's the ethos its teams practice across 99 contemporary and upscale hotels, and which guests will discover in the 54 new establishments opening worldwide.
Despite the current crisis, Mövenpick goes from strength to strength with new openings and the signing up of 10 hotels around the world, including 6 in Europe. Among the brand's future European destinations: Basel, Istanbul, Brussels, Split, etc. In 2021, the brand will also arrive in Australia for the first time with the opening of the Mövenpick Hotel Hobart in Tasmania.
With the promise of upscale services and innovative culinary concepts - with full respect for the environment and local communities - the premium brand has strong assets that will appeal to European customers. What's more, by allowing existing hotels to join the Mövenpick network while managing their investment, the brand facilitates conversions and represents an attractive business model for investors and hotel owners.
Between recent hotel openings, those to come and the introduction of Mövenpick Living (see more below) in the residential & extended stay segment, the brand is consolidating its presence throughout the world, with particularly strong development in Europe. Mövenpick's Swiss hospitality culture is spreading across the world.
